It seems that the inevitable backlash against left-field, hippy RPGs has begun. A new fanzine has appeared called Fight On! which focusses on old-school gaming. I can only assume this means it concentrates on dungeon-crawling, killing monsters (and their offspring) in their homes and stealing their stuff in order to go up levels. Naturally I have ordered a copy via Lulu and will post ramblings after I have read it.

As a fan of both old school and left-field, hippy games I'm happy for a fanzine like this to exist. In fact I love the concept of fanzines and fondly recall the days when our hobby was littered with such publications, all lovingly produced in the bedrooms of ardent gamers. The advent of POD means that we will perhaps see a resurgence in popularity of the fanzine as a means of perpetuating the hobby.
